Own the performance of our distributor network — from contracts and scorecards to field audits and development programmes — making sure every distributor runs a disciplined, growing business that drives PayGo revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Own the performance of our distributor network: contracts, KPIs, scorecards, and structured monthly business reviews with every distributor principal.
- Audit distributor operations in the field – stock, cash, agent practices, customer onboarding – and drive corrective actions to closure, escalating where standards aren't met.
- Protect portfolio quality: in a PayGo business, disciplined selling and collections at distributor level directly drive our revenue – you'll make sure incentives and behaviour line up.
- Coach distributor owners on the fundamentals of running a great business: financial controls, stock and cash management, people structures, and route-to-market execution.
- Build and run a distributor development programme – training, playbooks, and best-practice sharing that lift the whole network.
- Report network health to the executive team and shape decisions on distributor appointments, territories, growth investments, and exits.
Requirements
- 8+ years in distributor, dealer, channel, or franchise management, with senior-level ownership of third-party partner performance.
- Proven experience on both sides of the job: enforcing partner standards (audits, scorecards, contract remedies) and developing partner businesses (coaching, training, turnarounds).
- Background in PayGo solar / off-grid energy, microfinance or asset finance, telecoms/mobile-money distribution, FMCG route-to-market, or franchising.
- Strong commercial and financial literacy – you can read a small business's numbers and spot both the risk and the opportunity.
- High integrity, resilience, and genuine comfort spending 50–60% of your time in the field with distributors. Valid driver's licence essential.
Nice to have
- A relevant degree; a postgraduate business qualification is an advantage.
